Join Our Team!
E8 is a not-for-profit membership organization of private investors. Our focus is on investing in early-stage climate tech companies whose innovations increase the sustainability and health of our planet. We meld our pursuit of profitable investments with our pursuit of a higher purpose, accelerating the transition to a cleaner future and a better world.
Founded in 2006, E8 has grown to a membership of 130 diverse investors spread across the United States and Canada, with some also in Europe and Asia. Since its inception, E8 members have invested over $62M into more than 150 climate tech startups.
From September to May, members meet monthly to hear early-stage climate tech companies present their investment opportunities, attend educational workshops, and network with fellow members, entrepreneurs, and the larger climate community. These meetings are primarily hosted online with 65-75 attendees, with occasional in-person networking events. During the summer months, E8 runs Decarbon8-US, a philanthropic impact fund in collaboration with our 501(c)(3) partner, Realize Impact. Each year, Decarbon8-US focuses on a different investment theme; in 2024, the focus is on Renewable Energy.
